Today I have attended a workshop on "The Changing role of Teacher's in student Development" organized by ICFAI Business School. Professor Musthtak Ahmad acted as resource person. It was really a fascinating session. Presentation started after formal introduction of the speaker and other participants. Following topics were discussed during the session.

- Academia and industry gap

- Expectations of the industry regarding the skills of the students

- Six thinking hats model suggested by Edward de Bono

- White hat representing the facts

- Yellow hat reflecting positivity

- Black hat signifying negativity

- Blue hat signifying

- Green hat signifying creativity and suggesting solution

- Red hat signifying emotions

- Blue hat signifying the process and control

- How readers become leaders?

- Absenteeism is a major concern  of educational institutes

- Teachers should have the competency to convert the data into story

- Professor Musthtak Ahmad also stressed the fact that mere class room delivery may not change the fate of the students. Students should develop creativity and critical thinking. If you want to grow faster, you should achieve more.

- Teams always have flexibility and adaptation. Members of the team should respect each other.

- Teachers should also aim at continuous professional development. As generation Z spends much time in social media, teachers should also try to connect the students in social media and they should leave their digital imprints. Teachers should provide effective learning environment.

- Every college should organize weekly teachers group meeting in which possible activities to be conducted in every department are to be discussed. It should be productive exchange of ideas. Teachers should learn from each other. Learner's centric environment is to be created in the class room.

Teachers should teach global skills to the students. They should also be global in their attitude.

KEEP ON LEARNING & KEEP ON SHARING

TRANSFER OF SKILLS FROM CAMPUS TO CORPORATE

PPTs should pass Glance test and they should be designed on 6-6-6 formula

Professor Musthtak Ahmad also taught the TRICK of teaching.
