Today, our team of zoology lecturers, including Nagajyothirmai, Sreedevi, Ruhinaz, and myself, embarked on a journey to the department of Geology within our college premises. The occasion? A grand Geological science exhibition awaited our exploration. Almost 50 projects stood before us, each a testament to the depth and diversity of geological inquiry.

Immersed in the displays, we encountered a vast array of scientific knowledge, spanning the intricate formation of Earth, the meandering paths of rivers, the complexities of mining, the expanses of geological time, and the wonders of remote sensing technology. The students, our guides through this realm of discovery, imparted invaluable insights into the very essence of our planet.

Their models, crafted with care, mirrored the natural contours and formations of the Earth's geology, each one a masterpiece of scientific understanding. From opencast to underground mining techniques, we delved into the layers of Earth's crust, learning of its riches and complexities. We discovered, too, the global journey of barytes, from India's mines to the distant shores of Arab countries, where it serves as drilling mud.

Among the many enlightening exhibits, one model shone with particular brilliance—the depiction of the geological time scale. For us, the faculty of Zoology, it held a special fascination, encapsulating eons of Earth's history within its intricate design.

Our visit to the Geology department proved not only enlightening but also deeply enriching. Interacting with the Geology students, witnessing their passion and dedication, we found ourselves inspired by their commitment to understanding the Earth's mysteries. In this department, where diligence and determination reign supreme, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Padma Sree and Dr. Naga Lakshmi for their unwavering efforts in guiding and shaping the minds of future scientists.

In the hush of today, our zoology crew,

With Nagajyothirmai, Sreedevi, Ruhinaz, too,

To the Geology domain, our eager steps drew,

Where the marvels of Earth's secrets accrue.

A symphony of stones, a scientific dance,

In our college's embrace, a geological expanse.

Fifty projects bloom, each a tale to unfurl,

In the embrace of knowledge, we whirl.

From Earth's birthing cries to river's gentle flow,

Mining's whispers, and time's measured glow,

Remote sensing's gaze, a celestial tether,

Students' voices echo, in knowledge's weather.

In models crafted with nature's own stroke,

Geological forms from ancient cloak.

Opencast, underground, mining's terrain,

Each revelation, a golden grain.

Barytes journey from India's soil to distant sands,

Where they dance as drilling mud in foreign lands.

Layers of Earth, a student's artful design,

Unravelling mysteries, a thread divine.

Yet in the tapestry, one model did stand,

The geological time scale, in wondrous hand.

In Geology's realm, our wonder's uncoil,

A kaleidoscope of knowledge, in soil.

To Dr. Padma Sree and Dr. Naga Lakshmi, we owe,

For sculpting minds, like rivers flow.

In this department, where dreams ascend,

A testament to labor, to knowledge, to blend.
