I express deep gratitude to Nehru
Yuva Kendra, Anantapur, for inviting me to participate in their esteemed "Neighbourhood
Youth Parliament" program held today at RIPER College. The experience was
truly remarkable, reminiscent of being transported to the Indian Parliament
House in Delhi. The college gallery where the event took place was expansive,
and the seating arrangements for both leftists and rightists were meticulously
designed.
Approximately 40 students,
representing various opposition and ruling party members, actively participated
in the proceedings. The event commenced with a solemn oath-taking ceremony by
the house members, followed by proactive facilitation from the Speaker
throughout the session. Engaging debates ensued between the ruling and
opposition party representatives, reflecting the fervour of parliamentary
discussions.
Five outstanding students were
recognized as prize winners. Such Youth Parliament sessions serve multiple
purposes, including fostering an understanding of parliamentary procedures,
enhancing leadership skills, facilitating self-transformation, instilling a
sense of service, and promoting constructive engagement with the political
landscape of our country.
I extend heartfelt thanks to NYK
DDO Sri Sreenivasulu sir and Bisathi Bharath for organizing the event with
excellence. Special gratitude also goes to Pranati madam and Nagashubha madam
for gracing the occasion with their presence.
