The Academic Council Meeting for the academic year 2023-24 was held at the Commerce Department Seminar Hall of Govt College (A) Anantapur on November 28, 2023. The session commenced with an invocation by Dr. Sudhama Vamshi, setting a solemn and focused atmosphere for the important discussions that followed.

Objective of Academic Council Meet:

The primary purpose of the Academic Council Meeting was the discussion and approval of the syllabus and courses offered during the current academic year. Dr. ACR Diwakar Reddy, the Principal, led the meeting.

Honors Courses Discussion:

Detailed discussions took place regarding Honors courses offered as major and minor. The syllabus, course credits, and question paper blueprints, approved by the Board of Studies (BOS) members, were presented for approval by the Academic Council.

Departmental Reports:

Language Departments: Dr. Sashanka Mouli, Vice Principal, presented a comprehensive report on the activities and programs organized by language departments.

Life Sciences: Dr. D Aruna Kumari reported on the achievements and activities of Life Sciences departments.

Red Ribbon Club: Dr. P Giridhar presented the report of the Red Ribbon Club.

Resolutions and Approval:

Dr. Pallavi tabled resolutions taken by the Boards of Studies of all departments for approval by the Academic Council. All resolutions were unanimously approved by the council members.

Constructive Suggestions:

At the conclusion of the meeting, council members shared constructive suggestions for the improvement of college results.
