Report: Resource Person Visit to STSN Government Degree College, Kadiri — Student Induction Programme

 

Dr. B. Sreedevi and I were invited as resource persons by STSN Government Degree College, Kadiri, for the Student Induction Programme held on 26th September 2026. Having obtained due permission from our Principal, we left for Kadiri and reached by 9:40 am on the scheduled day.

We were cordially received by Dr. V. Saleem Basha, Principal of STSN GDC, along with Dr. K. Ruhinaz, Dr. Adinarayana, and Dr. Krishna Naik, faculty members of the Department of Zoology.

I was invited to engage the Commerce and Arts students in a session on Health and Hygiene, a multidisciplinary course, while Dr. B. Sreedevi conducted a parallel session on Environmental Education. Both classes ran concurrently until 12:45 pm, after which we broke for lunch — a sumptuous meal served to us in the chamber.

Following the lunch break, I addressed the Second Year Zoology major students on The Secrets of Evolution, presenting a bird's-eye view of the subject with a focus on the Origin of Life and Darwinism.

The day concluded with the formal Student Induction Programme, during which both Dr. Sreedevi and I spoke on personality development and life skills. Dr. Raj Mohammad, who organized the programme, introduced us both in an exceptional manner, and Dr. Hyder Ali proposed the vote of thanks, graciously acknowledging every detail of the day's proceedings. The session concluded with a felicitation ceremony in our honour.

After the programme, we visited Dr. Saleem Basha's residence before setting off for Anantapur, arriving at 7:30 pm.
